QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024 Released
Increasing The Number of Iranian Universities in QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024
In the 16th edition of the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024, 856 institutions are showcased from 25 countries and territories – India is now the most represented higher education system, with 148 featured universities (30 more than last year). Followed by China with 133 and Japan with 96.
Peking University tops the rankings for another year as the region’s best university.
This year’s ranking is the largest ever, featuring a record number of Asian universities. Not only does this reflect a flourishing and intensely competitive higher education ecosystem but facilitates evermore granular analysis of its institutions, allowing informed selection by students and targeted improvements by the region’s university leaders and policymakers.
Since last year, with the change in ranking methodology the results of this ranking are presented based on Asian geographical regions in 4 sections: Central Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia.
The status of the universities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Asian QS ranking
A total of 31 universities from the Islamic Republic of Iran included in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2024, while last year, for the first time, 12 Iranian universities included in this ranking. Sharif University of Technology, University of Tehran and Amir Kabir University of Technology are ranked 85, 88 and 121in Iran.
