Iran's MSRT Appoints ISC's New President

The farewell ceremony of Dr. Mohammad Javad Dehghani, the former president of ISC and the introduction ceremony of Dr. Seyed Ahmad Fazelzadeh,  the new ISC president, was held with the presence of Dr. Mohammad Ali ZolfiGol, Iran's MSRT, Dr. Imanieh, the governor of Fars, MSRT deputy ministers, deans of universities and provincial managers on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2022.

Dr. Seyed Ahmad Fazelzadeh, the new president of ISC, while honoring the government week, expressed his gratitude to the attendees at the ceremony including the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, the Governor of Fars, deans of universities and research institutes and senior managers of the province and also, Dr. Qaderi, the representative of Shiraz in the Iranian parliment.

He mentioned: "Considering the need to improve the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the production, expansion and authority of science and technology (at the level of the region, Islamic countries and the world), and evaluation of scientific and technological productions is an inevitable necessity for the growth of ISC".

Dr. Fazelzadeh said: "Considering the three decades of successful experiences of RICeST in the field of providing scientific information sources, as well as nearly two decades of the effective activity of ISC in the field of observing and monitoring the production of science at a global level, it is necessary to revise the existing activities, special consideration should be given to the issues of technology assessment in the direction of the development of knowledge-based and job-creating economy".
