Examining ISC Ranking Position in a meeting held by the Association for the Support of Theory Chairs in the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution

Dr. Mohammad Javad Dehghani, President of ISC, and Dr. Mansoureh Sarati, Director of ISC ranking department participated in the 133rd meeting of the Association for the Support of Theory Chairs, Criticism and Debate, which was held by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution on March 14, 2022 and introduced ISC ranking position.

In this meeting, which was held at the invitation of Dr. Khosropanah, Secretary of theorizing Chairs, Dehghani introduced ISC ranking system and said: “The Islamic World Science Citation Center(ISC) has been formed since 2008 with the announcement of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Ranking research has practically evaluated and ranked the country's universities and research institutes with approved indicators and criteria.

He added: "After nearly a decade of ranking universities, ISC has practically become a reference in ranking the country's universities." In addition, ISC international ranking has started since 2018 and this ranking covers more than 2000 universities internationally. Also, the ranking of universities in Islamic countries, the ranking of member countries on January 28 and the subjective ranking of world universities have been done by ISC.

Dehghani continued: "According to the emphasis of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology since early 2019 and also according to the approval of the Comprehensive Scientific Map of the country, the need to evaluate and rank universities with new indicators and criteria has been on the agenda since early 2018."
