ISC and D8 Hold “Advanced Scientometric Workshop”

Based on the reports of Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) Office of International Scientific Cooperation (OISC), The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation and ISC with cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology of Pakistan will hold Advanced Scientometric Workshop in Islam Abad, Pakistan in March 2019. Participants from Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Pakistan, and Turkey will attend this workshop.

During this two-day workshop, there will be a 90-minute session on “Increasing Efficiency of Research in Universities and Research Institutions” in addition to a 90-minute session on “An analysis of the status of D-8 countries’ universities in global ranking systems” presented by ISC.

Having participated in this workshop, the participants, policy makers, researchers of universities/research institutions, etc. will get acquainted with strategies and skills to enhance impact of research in their respective universities/ research institutions.

As approved in the First OIC Summit on Science and Technology, held on Sep. 10-11, 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan, within 10 years 50 OIC universities should be included in the top-500 universities of the world and this workshop can be of great help to the participating universities and research institutions in their effort to attain this goal.
