ISC in Azerbaijan/ Holding Workshop on Scientific Improvement/ Azerbaijan Universities Ranking

The Workshop on "Promoting the Effectiveness of Science and the Position of Universities in International Rankings" was held by Dr. Dehghani, ISC president and Dr. Falahati, head of ISC office of International Cooperation in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Dr. Dehghani commented about the participants of the workshop and its purposes: "This workshop was held at the conference hall of the University of Khazar with the presence of the Faculty members, board of directors, graduate students and representatives of other universities in Azerbaijan.

Since increasing the impact and quality of research is one of the most important issues for universities and research institutes in the world, ISC has set up a series of workshops in this field and is conducting in different countries. In these workshops, ways to enhance the level of scientific effectiveness are presented in various technological, innovative, social, economic and academic dimensions, and the content of workshops directly affects the rank of universities in international ranking systems and the academic rank of each university. Also, in relation to improving the level of scientific effectiveness, a set of indicators is introduced which includes: the degree of international cooperation of universities, the quantity and quality of scientific productions, the use of research results in the field of innovation and technology, and the promotion of citation Scientific and research works of researchers. Our goal was to help universities in the Republic of Azerbaijan to upgrade the rank of universities, as well as to improve the academic and research performance of faculty members. "

The present workshop was also carried out with prior planning and at the request of the university by ISC. In fact, ISC's role in promoting the quality of research and the creation of a continuous scientific network can be described as a key role throughout the member states of OIC.
